"A library outranks any other one thing a community can do to benefit its people. It is a never failing spring in the desert.”
― Andrew Carnegie

Library History

This building was built as a schoolhouse in the early 1800s and remained a schoolhouse until 1951 when it became the town library. Just behind the congregational church and across from the Three Mountain Inn, this building is an anchor in the community. In 2015 indoor plumbing was added to the building, and in 2024 the children's room was completely updated in honor of former trustee and volunteer, Janet Hamilton.
